The Way Home

In the lead up to the Black Summer bushfires the hills and paddocks around the town of Braidwood were parched, and vibrant greens reduced to straw yellow and dust. Driving home in the late afternoon light I remember the beauty of the long purple shadows, and the sense slowly forming of what would be to come.
