Nature and Shit

I’m making some big drawing/paintings on canvas based on the classic old ausploitation movie ‘Long Weekend.’ It just happens to be playing on SBS On Demand at the moment if you haven’t seen it, but is essentially about people being eaten by native animals.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the end of the world lately, and  I’ve been thinking about how how proto-humans used to be stalked by all kinds of prehistoric monsters, and how in our deep brains were still scared of them.
